Fitted Wardrobes in North London

Bespoke wardrobes, handmade to fit your space — designed and built by Philip, with over 18 years of craftsmanship from our Winchmore Hill workshop.

Make Space Bespoke designs, builds and installs bespoke fitted wardrobes across North London. Every wardrobe is handmade by Philip, who has over 18 years of experience, and built to fit the exact dimensions of your room — including alcoves, chimney breasts, sloped loft ceilings and awkward corners that standard wardrobes can't use. We work throughout North London from our base in Winchmore Hill (N21), covering areas including Southgate, Palmers Green, Enfield, Muswell Hill, Highgate, Finchley, Crouch End, Barnet and Camden. Consultations and quotes are free and carry no obligation.

Why a bespoke fitted wardrobe

A bespoke fitted wardrobe is designed around your home, your storage and the way you use the room.

Uses every inch — built wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling, so no dead space above or beside the unit.

Fits awkward spaces — sloped ceilings, eaves, chimney breasts and bay walls that freestanding wardrobes leave unusable.

Made for your room, not a warehouse — sized to your exact measurements rather than fixed flat-pack dimensions.

Handmade, not flat-packed — solid construction designed to last, fitted properly so doors stay aligned.

Colour-matched to your home — painted in any Farrow & Ball, Little Greene or Dulux colour.

Adds value — fitted bedroom furniture is a feature buyers look for, like a fitted kitchen.

FAQ

How much do fitted wardrobes cost in North London?

Cost depends on size, materials, finish and complexity (sloped ceilings and integrated lighting add to the price). As a guide, a bespoke fitted wardrobe typically starts from around £1,200. We give a fixed quote for your project after a free home survey, so the price is confirmed before any work begins — request one here.

How long does a fitted wardrobe take?

Most projects take 2–4 weeks from consultation to installation. The build is made to order, and fitting on site usually takes 2–3 days.

Can you match Farrow & Ball or Little Greene colours?

Yes. We hand-paint wardrobes in any Farrow & Ball, Little Greene or Dulux colour, and can match an existing colour in your home.

Can you build wardrobes into sloped or loft ceilings?

Yes — angled and loft-eaves wardrobes are one of our specialities. We build to follow the roofline so otherwise-wasted space becomes full storage. (See the Finchley and Highgate examples above.)

Are fitted wardrobes better than freestanding?

Fitted wardrobes use the full height and width of your room and fit awkward spaces freestanding units can't, so they typically give more usable storage in the same footprint and a seamless, built-in finish.

Which areas do you cover?

All of North London, from our Winchmore Hill (N21) base — including Southgate, Palmers Green, Enfield, Muswell Hill, Highgate, Finchley, Crouch End, Barnet and Camden.

What materials do you use?

Furniture-grade MDF and timber for painted finishes, plus real wood veneers such as oak and walnut where a natural finish is wanted. All built to last and properly fitted.
